At approximately 7:05 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received multiple alerts from the ShotSpotter gunshot detection system, followed by calls from people in the area reporting loud gunfire and a man lying on the ground near the Gas for Less station in Estate Diamond, across from the Sunny Isles Shopping Center. Police and emergency responders rushed to the scene as sirens cut through the early evening calm.
When officers arrived, they found Bramble lying on the west side of the Gas for Less station, bleeding from his upper body. The severity of his injuries was immediately apparent.
