Josh Travis Aspire FC Death – Nottingham Rising Star Goalkeeper Has Died on November 27

Josh Travis, a 15-year-old goalkeeper of Nottingham football Academy whose talent and infectious personality had already marked him as a future star has untimely passed away. Josh died on November 27, 2025, leaving players, coaches, parents, and supporters, and an entire city heartbroken.

Josh grew up kicking a ball around the streets of Nottingham before catching the eye of scouts. He joined the Nottingham Forest academy as a young boy and quickly became one of its most promising keepers.

Known for his calm command of the box, lightning reflexes, and fearless shot-stopping, he earned praise from coaches at every level. Even when he moved to other local clubs, his reputation followed him: “That’s the lad from Forest who’s going places.”

At just 15, Josh was already training with older age groups and had represented his county. Opposing strikers hated facing him; teammates loved playing behind him. He had that rare gift of making big saves look routine and always had a word of encouragement for the defence after a tough moment.

Off the pitch, Josh was the same smiling, polite kid everyone adored. He was the first to help pack away cones after training, the one who made sure the youngest players felt included, and the teammate who never forgot to say thank you to the coaches. His laugh carried across the training ground, and his passion for the game was contagious.

Josh was a proud son, brother, and friend whose family meant everything to him. Weekends were for matches and then straight home to tell his mum every detail over a cup of tea. He lived for those moments on the pitch with his mates and the quiet pride of wearing the shirt he loved.

Nottingham has lost one of its own far too soon. Josh Travis was more than a talented goalkeeper; he was a good kid with a huge heart and an even bigger future. The gloves may be hung up, but his spirit will live on every time a young keeper pulls on the jersey in Nottingham. Rest easy, Josh. Save one for us up there.

Funeral arrangements will be shared by the family in the coming days. Until then, the entire Nottingham football family keeps his loved ones close. Once a Red, always a Red. ❤️
