On November 30, 2025, Chrisavion Deontay Green, 18, of Amarillo, Texas, tragically passed away, leaving behind a legacy of youthful energy, creativity, and devotion to his family and community.

Born on February 12, 2007, to Deontay and Shavon Green, Mr. Green grew up in Amarillo’s Wolflin historic district, where close family ties nurtured his curiosity and resilience. He graduated from Amarillo High School in May 2025, focusing on vocational welding courses that sparked his interest in craftsmanship. His innovative projects earned recognition in the school’s Future Trades program.

Mr. Green had just begun an apprenticeship at Plains Welding Supply as a junior fabricator. In his brief tenure, he applied his skills to repairing agricultural equipment vital to the Panhandle’s farming economy. Colleagues noted his aptitude for blueprint reading and precision cutting, as well as his eagerness to assist senior welders on custom projects.

Family was central to his life. As the eldest of three siblings, he served as a protective role model, supporting his younger brother and sister while sharing in traditions of home‑cooked meals and backyard football drills. He shared a close bond with his girlfriend of two years, Aaliyah Thompson, with whom he dreamed of pursuing community college studies in graphic design.

Mr. Green’s lifestyle reflected youthful energy and community spirit. He volunteered at the Amarillo Area YMCA, coaching peewee basketball and inspiring younger children with his enthusiasm.
