Dean “Kuntry” Miller, 45, of Indianapolis, died unexpectedly on December 4, 2025. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion to family, community, and friendship that touched countless lives across the Circle City.
Mr. Miller was a devoted husband to Michelle for 22 years and a loving father to four children, ages 18, 15, 12, and 9. Raised in the Haughville neighborhood, he graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1998, where his charisma on the basketball court earned lasting admiration. His family home on the west side became a hub for barbecues and game nights, reflecting his commitment to joyful traditions.
Professionally, Mr. Miller worked for 15 years as a warehouse supervisor at a logistics firm near the airport. Colleagues valued his leadership, humor, and ability to turn workplace challenges into opportunities for growth. He balanced demanding hours with community involvement, volunteering at food pantries and organizing block parties that fostered neighborhood unity.
In his family life, Mr. Miller prioritized quality time, planning surprise outings to Eagle Creek Park and attending every school event. His role as the family’s storyteller preserved cherished memories through shared laughter and heartfelt advice.
Mr. Miller’s lifestyle blended urban energy with simple pleasures—grilling ribs for summer cookouts, cheering at Colts tailgates, woodworking in his garage, and collecting vintage vinyl records. These passions highlighted his creativity and love for bringing people together.
A public visitation and celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Stuart Mortuary on North Capitol Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the Indianapolis Urban League’s youth mentorship programs, continuing his dedication to uplifting the next generation.
