A beloved member of the Brigham City, Utah community, Brian Adin Droubay, passed away unexpectedly on December 3, 2025, at the age of 43. A man whose life revolved around lifting others, Brian left behind a young family and a community that leaned on his quiet strength more than most realized.
He was born July 9, 1982, and grew up in northern Utah surrounded by the mountains he loved. He married his high school sweetheart, welcomed four children who became his greatest pride, and built a home filled with laughter, bedtime stories, and weekend camping trips that turned ordinary weekends into cherished traditions.
As a licensed clinical social worker, Brian spent his career in the trenches of mental health advocacy. He specialized in crisis intervention and served some of the most overlooked members of Box Elder County, meeting people at their lowest and walking with them until hope felt possible again. Colleagues remember late-night phone calls he always answered and the way he could calm an entire room with steady words and genuine care.
Outside work, Brian lived for adventure with his kids: teaching them to cast a fishing line in Mantua, building snow forts that lasted until spring, and planning stargazing nights where he pointed out constellations while telling stories that made the universe feel close and kind.
His sudden absence has stunned everyone who counted on his bear hugs, his terrible dad jokes, and the calm certainty that Brian would know what to do next. As the family’s primary provider, his loss has brought financial strain alongside the heartbreak, yet the response has been swift and heartfelt.
A Celebration of Life open to all will take place Tuesday, December 9, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Utah State University–Brigham City campus, where stories, tears, and gratitude will fill the room he loved.
