Chmielewski, age fifty‑seven, who departed this life peacefully at his Plymouth, Indiana home on Monday, December 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born October 12, 1968, in Fort Wayne to Raymond and Rosann Lynch Chmielewski, Roger’s upbringing in northern Indiana instilled in him a resilient work ethic and a warm sense of humor that became hallmarks of his character.
His move from Fort Wayne to Plymouth allowed him to plant deep roots in a community known for its small‑town charm and close connections, where he built a life centered on devotion to family, professional dedication, and the simple joys that enriched those around him. His presence was a source of laughter and comfort, leaving lasting impressions on all who shared in his world.
Professionally, Roger distinguished himself as an electrician whose skill and reliability were evident in every assignment. His career included years at Bay Valley and Metal Cast before he transitioned to McCormick’s in South Bend, where he continued to demonstrate precision and commitment. The demands of electrical work required both technical expertise and careful attention to detail, qualities Roger embodied fully.
Within his family circle, Roger was celebrated as the consummate jokester, bringing joy and levity to gatherings with his playful personality. Though he worked diligently during the week, weekends were filled with humor, quick‑witted remarks, and lighthearted pranks that drew loved ones closer together. His ability to transform ordinary occasions into cherished memories made him the heart of family life, offering laughter even during difficult times.
Roger’s greatest devotion was to his children—Rachelle Stouder (Jason Pogar), Shannon Blair (Stark), Matt Reese (Jillian Mayfield), and Christopher Chmielewski (Madalynn Arnett)—whom he supported with unwavering love. He took immense pride in their growth into adulthood, offering guidance and celebrating their individual journeys.

Visitation will be held Friday, December 26, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Johnson Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan Street, Plymouth, Indiana, followed by funeral services at 6 p.m. with Pastor Wyatt Smith officiating. In honoring Roger, the Plymouth community celebrates a life marked by hard work, boundless love for family, and an extraordinary gift for bringing light and laughter to all who knew him.
