George is survived by his loving wife Cathy, children Emily Stone (Jonathan), Henry Mikesell (Hannah), and Grace, along with his mother Patricia Mikesell and a large extended family including siblings, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren Eleanor, Henrietta, Benjamin, and one on the way, whom he cherished as “Oppie.”

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Molnar Funeral Homes Brownstown Chapel, with a eulogy at 6:30 p.m., followed by instate and Mass on Thursday, January 8, at 10:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. respectively at Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Church in Woodhaven. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Saint Mary Catholic Central Monroe or Fuel The Drive honor his charitable heart.
