A beloved resident of Blum, Texas, Alvin Dean Adler, has sadly passed away on December 10, 2025. He was 80 years old. Mr. Adler, who was affectionately known as Dean, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, hard work, and adventure.
He was born on December 29, 1944, in Bynum, Texas, to Ervin and Edna Adler. After graduating from Bynum High School, he pursued further education, earning an Associate Degree in General Studies from Hill College. He then proudly served his country as a paratrooper in the National Guard for seven years, an experience that embodied his courage and discipline.
Dean was a man of remarkable dedication and enterprise. In 1973, he opened Adler Paint & Body, a business he owned and operated with integrity and craftsmanship for an incredible 53 years. On January 17, 1975, he married Jennifer Rogers, and they shared 50 beautiful years of devoted marriage. He was a loving father to his son, Bob Schronk, and a cherished “Grand-Dude” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Beyond his family and work, Dean lived a spirited and adventurous life. He was an avid member of the Cen-Tex Corvette Club in Waco and enjoyed racing Corvettes in low-speed autocross. He also embraced new challenges, learning to snow ski at the age of 50 and continuing the sport for two decades. He loved traveling the country and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
A man of strong faith, Dean was a devoted member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Whitney, Texas. He is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer; his son, Bob (Julie); his sister, Linda Fisk; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.
Services to celebrate Dean’s life will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Marshall & Marshall Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Texas. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m.. His family, church community, and many friends will remember him as a man of strength, kindness, and joyful spirit.
