Darren Stacks, affectionately known as “Darren the Plumber,” passed away on December 31, 2025, in Arizona at the age of 63. His passing followed a courageous battle with COPD and lung cancer, fought with strength and dignity.
Darren, who was born on May 20, 1962, was raised with a strong work ethic and a talent for interpersonal communication. He and his brother relocated to Texas in November 2001 after a major ice storm. He started working at Coryell Plumbing shortly after, in December 2001, where he would spend the next twenty years establishing a reputation for competence, dependability, and pride in his work.
Darren’s customers quickly became friends, as he was known not only for his expertise but also for his kindness and humor. He took great pride in his work, treating every job as an opportunity to help others and leave things better than he found them. His dedication earned him respect across the community and the affectionate nickname “Darren the Plumber.”
In December 2021, Darren retired and relocated to Arizona to be closer to family. Though he left Texas, he carried with him the bonds he had formed over the years. Friends such as Tim Marvin DeLynn and many others became his “Texas family,” a testament to the deep connections he nurtured throughout his life.
Those who knew Darren remember him as a man of resilience, generosity, and warmth. He faced life’s challenges with courage and never lost his ability to bring comfort and laughter to those around him. His legacy is not only in the work he accomplished but in the friendships he built and the love he shared.
Darren Stacks will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His story is one of hard work, loyalty, and enduring love, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
