Alex Andrew Gustafson, 33, of Greenwood, Arkansas, died on December 6, 2025, in Little Rock. His passing leaves a legacy of dedication, creativity, and compassion that touched many lives in his community.
Alex was born and raised in Plano, Texas, and moved to Arkansas in 2010 to pursue higher education. He studied criminal justice at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville before advancing to the University of Arkansas School of Law, graduating in 2017.
He built a distinguished career as an attorney specializing in family law, civil litigation, personal injury, and criminal defense. His firm, AlexGusLaw, served clients across multiple counties from offices in Greenwood and Mena, representing more than 1,000 individuals with compassionate advocacy.
His professional journey began in the River Valley, where he learned personal injury practice from Fort Smith attorneys, followed by three years at Walters Law Firm in Greenwood. Known for aggressive yet empathetic litigation, he prioritized family unity and children’s best interests, blending legal skill with genuine care.
Family was central to Alex’s life. He is survived by his parents, Kim and John Gustafson, and his sister, Madison Baggett, with whom he shared a close and joyful bond. His home in Greenwood became a place of encouragement and shared milestones, even amid the demands of his career.
Alex’s lifestyle reflected his energy and enthusiasm. He was a passionate sports fan, cheering for the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Dallas Mavericks, the Dallas Stars, and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed golf outings and audio engineering projects, creative pursuits that balanced the intensity of his legal work.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on December 16, 2025, at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood. Friends and family will gather to share stories and tributes, honoring his vibrant spirit and ensuring his legacy continues to inspire the community he called home.
