On December 2, 2025, South Bend, Indiana, mourned the sudden loss of Chris Morton, who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 54. A respected professional, devoted family man, and quietly influential community member, Chris’s absence is deeply felt by his family, friends, colleagues, and the many lives he touched over more than two decades of service.
A graduate of Indiana University South Bend, Chris built a meaningful 24-year career at Press Ganey Associates, where he served as Senior Director of Client Analytics. He was known for his ability to turn complex healthcare data into practical insights and, more importantly, for his willingness to mentor and guide others with patience and generosity. Colleagues remember him as both a sharp analyst and a kind-hearted teacher.
Chris’s life centered on his family. He shared 28 years of marriage with his wife, Amy, and together they raised three children in the North Shore Triangle neighborhood. Their home was a welcoming hub for neighborhood gatherings, summer swim parties, and backyard bonfires. Chris also gave back through coaching youth soccer and serving on the board of the St. Joseph County Youth Soccer Association for over a decade.
An avid cyclist, Chris spent countless hours on local trails and often organized group rides with coworkers, quietly covering entry fees so everyone could participate. He enjoyed Notre Dame football games, restoring vintage bicycles in his garage, and fostering a spirit of camaraderie in all aspects of his life.
Chris was the kind of person who remembered birthdays, sent handwritten notes, and brought people together—whether through office fundraising pools for Riley Children’s Hospital or simple acts of kindness. His gentle leadership, steady presence, and genuine care for others left a lasting impact on his workplace and community.
Chris is survived by his wife, Amy, their three children, and a wide network of friends and colleagues who will carry forward his legacy of integrity, mentorship, and quiet kindness.
