Dr. Donald Larry “Don” Marler, a distinguished dentist and pillar of the Easley, South Carolina community, passed away on December 12, 2025, at the age of 69. His departure has deeply affected family, patients, colleagues, and friends who valued his gentle professionalism and unwavering kindness. Marler dedicated over four decades to serving the Upstate region with compassion.

Graduating from Woodruff High School in 1973, Wofford College in 1977, and earning his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1984, Marler built a respected practice in the area. Patients appreciated his trustworthy approach and genuine interest in their well-being. Many formed lifelong friendships through his caring demeanor.

Faith formed the cornerstone of Marler’s life as a longtime member of Easley First Baptist Church. He served devotedly as a deacon, choir member, Sunday School teacher, RA leader, and on committees focused on personnel and stewardship. His quiet leadership reflected deep commitment to spiritual growth and community service.

As a devoted husband, loving father, and joyful grandfather, Marler found profound fulfillment in family. He cherished time with loved ones, including memories tied to his granddaughter Meredith. His role as a family anchor provided strength and unconditional support across generations.

A Celebration of Life service honors Marler at Easley First Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. The family hosts a reception afterward in the church atrium. In lieu of flowers, contributions support Cook Children’s Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, commemorating Marler and Meredith.
