Erika Fields Death – Montgomery Indiana Resident Has Died Unexpectedly on November 30

On November 30, 2025, Erika Fields of Montgomery, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 48. Her sudden departure has brought deep sorrow to the Daviess County community, where she was cherished for her warmth, laughter, and unwavering kindness.

Born and raised in rural Daviess County, Erika was a proud graduate of Barr-Reeve High School and earned an associate degree from Vincennes University. For 22 years, she served as an administrative assistant at the Montgomery Community School Corporation, where she was known for her organization, her gentle mentorship of young colleagues, and her quiet but powerful support of local education.

Erika’s greatest joy was her family. A devoted daughter and caring sister, she created a home filled with love, homemade treats, and heartfelt gatherings. She had a gift for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories, offering comfort with a listening ear and a steady presence during difficult times.

Outside of work and family, Erika embraced simple pleasures—baking, quilting, gardening, and walking along the White River. Her vibrant flower garden and intricately stitched quilts were expressions of her creativity and care, gifts she generously shared with neighbors and loved ones.

A celebration of Erika’s life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Montgomery, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. and a service at noon.

Though she will be deeply missed, Erika’s legacy of kindness, laughter, and community spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate to know her. Rest in peace, Erika. Your light remains in the hearts of those you loved.
