From UW-Green Bay, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree, to Viterbo College for his master’s in education, Kevin’s academic path prepared him for a dedicated teaching career that began in Chilton in 1995. He remained a fixture at Chilton High School, shaping young minds through lessons in history and student council guidance.
Kevin’s professional reach extended beyond the classroom as a volunteer firefighter who founded the Fire Explorer Post, mentoring youth in emergency services. He served as an EMT for Calumet Medical Center Ambulance, deputy medical examiner for Calumet County, and alderman on the Chilton City Council, earning the 2000 Community Service Award from the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
His most enduring contribution came in 2005 with the Toys for Teens Change Challenge, raising over $68,000 to provide holiday gifts for local teenagers often overlooked during Christmas. This initiative, now in its 20th year, reflects Kevin’s commitment to making every student feel valued, much like his annual Penny Drive for the Salvation Army.
