Linda Hrynewycz, a devoted resident of Warsaw, Indiana, passed away on December 28, 2025, at the age of 77. She was born on October 10, 1948, in Chardon, Ohio, and was the daughter of Neil and Mary (Weaver) Hostetler, growing up in a family that instilled strong values of faith, hard work, and close-knit relationships in the rural Midwest.
Linda later made her home in Warsaw, where she built a life centered on family, community, and meaningful employment. Her journey from Ohio to Indiana reflected a commitment to creating stability and joy for those around her, embracing the quieter rhythms of small-town living in Kosciusko County. Warsaw, known as the Orthopedic Capital of the World due to its concentration of medical device companies, provided the backdrop for much of her adult life and professional contributions.
On November 25, 1988, Linda married Roman Hrynewycz in Warsaw, beginning a loving partnership that brought shared happiness and support through the years. Together, they nurtured a blended family, with Linda stepping into the role of a caring wife and stepmother who prioritized unity and affection. Their marriage, rooted in mutual respect and devotion, flourished in the supportive community of Warsaw, where family gatherings and everyday moments strengthened their bond.
Linda enjoyed a fruitful career at Biomet, a prominent medical device manufacturer headquartered in Warsaw since its founding in 1977 by former employees of another local orthopedic firm. She devoted 11 years of dedicated service to the company, contributing her strong work ethic and reliability in an industry that revolutionized orthopedic reconstructive products for global use.
Biomet, which later merged with Zimmer in 2015 to form Zimmer Biomet, specialized in innovative solutions like joint replacements and fixation devices, and Linda’s role helped support the precision and quality that defined the company’s reputation. Her colleagues admired her dependability and positive presence, making her 1998 retirement a well-deserved milestone after years of meaningful contribution to a key pillar of Warsaw’s economy.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved sisters Fanny Owens and Martha Lozier; and her brother Pete Hostetler. These losses tested her resilience, yet she continued to find strength in her remaining family and the love that surrounded her. Linda is survived by her devoted husband, Roman Hrynewycz of Warsaw; her loving children Romanna (Robert) Looney of Warsaw, Deanna (David) Rahill of Laveen, Arizona, Michelle (Chris) Slason of Lake Havasu, Arizona, Daniel Hrynewycz of Longmont, Colorado, and Lisa Hrynewycz of Warsaw; 20 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy; and her cherished sisters Carol (Jim) Byler of Hoschton, Georgia, and Edna (Jim) Farmwald of Huntsburg, Ohio, along with several nieces and nephews.
Her large, loving family network highlighted the profound legacy of care she cultivated, with grandchildren and great-grandchildren representing the next chapters of the love she so generously gave. In Warsaw’s close community, her influence through family will endure long after her passing.
