The collision occurred on October 11, 2025, around 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Bruceville Road and Laguna Boulevard.
Ngub was walking with family when a dark-colored sedan hit her and fled the scene. Despite immediate response from Elk Grove Police and paramedics, her injuries were catastrophic.
Ngub was rushed to a trauma center where doctors fought for weeks to save her life. She endured multiple surgeries and intensive care, showing the same quiet strength that had carried her through decades of hardship and sacrifice. On November 26, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, Ngub peacefully slipped away, her family holding her hand until the very end.
