Early on Tuesday morning, April 7, 2026, Blair County emergency personnel arrived in response to reports of a pedestrian being struck along Pleasant Valley Boulevard (SR 220) in Antis Township, close to DelGrosso’s Park. Travis Replogle, 41, of Altoona, was walking north on the west shoulder of the road at around 6:09 a.m. when the event happened.
When Pennsylvania State Police arrived, they found Replogle unresponsive after being struck by a southbound Jeep Grand Cherokee. Emergency responders attempted to assist, but he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash site was located in the area of DelGrosso’s Park in Tipton, prompting authorities to temporarily restrict traffic while they worked.
Investigators confirmed that Replogle had been walking along the west shoulder of 4578 East Pleasant Valley Boulevard when the Jeep, traveling in the right southbound lane, struck him. The roadway was closed in all directions between Rossi Drive/Tipton Road and the I‑99/US 220 exit while police documented the scene and cleared the area. PennDOT later confirmed that the road had reopened after the investigation progressed. Authorities have not indicated whether charges will be filed, and the cause of the crash remains under review.
