Zachary “Zach” Wilson Cash Death – Beloved Lexington, NC, Resident Has Died on December 20

A loving family man, Zachary “Zach” Wilson Cash, forty years old and a lifelong presence in the Lexington area of Davidson County, North Carolina, died in a hunting accident on December 20, 2025.

He was born on January 9, 1985, to Terry Eugene Cash and Terri McMillan Cash and was raised locally and became widely known for his devotion to coaching, faith, and family. His sudden passing has left a deep sense of loss across Lexington and the surrounding communities, where his steady leadership and generous spirit touched many lives.

A committed elder at First Alliance Church, Zach invested himself in the spiritual life of his congregation, offering guidance and support to fellow members. His faith informed a life of service: he regularly participated in church programs and provided pastoral encouragement that strengthened communal ties and nurtured others’ spiritual journeys in the area.

Zach’s greatest passion was mentoring young people through athletics. He volunteered tirelessly with organizations such as the Arcadia Booster Club and Community Leaders of Davidson County, arriving early to practices and staying late to help players grow. His coaching emphasized character as much as skill, teaching perseverance, teamwork, and respect—lessons that shaped generations of athletes across northern Davidson County.

Family occupied the center of Zach’s life. He was a devoted husband to Emily and a proud father to Abigail, Jackson, and Madelyn, creating a home defined by warmth, guidance, and unwavering support. He also treasured time with his parents, Terry and Terri Cash; his sisters, Hannah Wagner (Ethan) and Emma Cash; his in-laws Ron and Pam Sink; and his grandparents Glenn and Joanne McMillan and Frank and Judy Stoner. His presence fostered countless moments of unity and comfort among relatives and close friends.

A memorial to celebrate Zach’s life will take place at First Alliance Church on December 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Paul Titus officiating. Family members will receive visitors immediately following the service. The gathering will provide an opportunity for the community to honor his roles as coach, church leader, and family man, and to offer mutual support during this time of grief.

Zachary Wilson Cash is remembered for his energetic mentorship, faithful service to his church, and deep devotion to his wife and children. The lessons he imparted to young athletes, the spiritual encouragement he offered his congregation, and the loving example he set at home form a lasting legacy. In remembering him, friends and neighbors celebrate a life defined by compassion, leadership, and the close connections that enriched Lexington’s community life.
