A 32-year-old Summit Hill woman was killed Saturday afternoon, January 31, 2026, in a two-vehicle crash on a commercial stretch of roadway in Carbon County, Pennsylvania. The fatal collision occurred at approximately 3:00 p.m. at a specific location in front of 2897 E. Blakeslee Boulevard in Mahoning Township.
The Carbon County Coroner’s Office has identified the deceased as Genevieve L. Snyder, who was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:00 p.m. by a deputy coroner. The Coroner’s Office determined that the cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma, and the manner of death was officially ruled an accident.
The crash involved Snyder’s car and a stake body truck. According to police reports from the scene, the car came to rest against a snow bank in a private commercial parking lot, while the truck ended up broadside across the roadway following the collision. Officials confirmed that Snyder was the operator of one of the two vehicles involved.
A male passenger from one of the vehicles involved sustained serious injuries in the crash. His current condition has not been publicly released. The Pennsylvania State Police Accident Reconstruction Team was called to the scene to conduct a detailed investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
To facilitate the investigation and clear the wreckage, East Blakeslee Boulevard in the area of 443 Auto Sales was closed to all traffic for an extended period of time on Saturday afternoon. The roadway remained shut down until authorities completed their initial on-scene work.
