Born on April 29, 1929, in the rolling hills of Bland County, Helen entered the world as the daughter of William Maxwell and Florene Spence Dillow Lindamood, both now preceding her in eternity. Her roots in this Appalachian region ran deep, shaping a life grounded in simplicity, hard work, and the enduring values of faith and family that she carried with grace throughout her nearly one hundred years.
A devoted Christian with a heart always turned toward others, Helen lived out her beliefs through daily devotions, heartfelt prayers, and countless quiet acts of service that spoke louder than words. As a faithful member of New Hope Union Church in Bastian, she found community and purpose in worship, fellowship, and the steady rhythm of church life that anchored her spiritual journey for decades.
