In the early hours of Sunday, February 22, 2026, a triple homicide on Moseley Avenue in Macon, Georgia, claimed the lives of three young men, sending shockwaves through the community and prompting an intensive investigation that led to the swift arrest of a 20-year-old suspect.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office received reports of multiple people shot at approximately 3:35 a.m., and deputies responded to the scene near the intersection of Moseley Avenue and Cedar Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered three males who had died from gunshot wounds, later identified as 25-year-old Charleston Burnett, 25-year-old Jordan Gardner, and 26-year-old Willie Cain.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division Violent Crime Unit immediately began working the case, and investigators quickly identified 20-year-old Julius Ty-Lunie Milner of Macon as a person of interest.
Working in coordination with the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, authorities located and apprehended Milner without incident on Monday, February 23. Following further investigation, Milner was formally charged with three counts of murder and five counts of aggravated assault and transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center, where he is currently being held without bond.

“He called me on Saturday and said, ‘Granddaddy, I’m just calling to check on you.’ He said, ‘I don’t want anything this time,'” Mayweather remembered. Gardner’s uncle, Tater Jackson, described the 25-year-old as someone whose smile could light up any room, a natural comedian who loved to joke and had recently become a proud father to his son, Little Jordan.
Mayweather also pushed back against speculation about his grandson’s character, stating emphatically, “They might want to say that my son was affiliated with a gang, but he wasn’t in a gang. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time.” He expressed disappointment that city leadership, including Mayor Lester Miller, had not personally reached out to the family, though the Mayor’s Office later responded that they would make contact at an appropriate time and did not wish to be intrusive during the family’s time of need.
