Thirty‑one‑year‑old York City resident Nidair Jordon Collier was found dead early Friday morning in what investigators have ruled a homicide. Police were called around 5:30 a.m. to the 200 block of South Hartley Street, where Collier was discovered unresponsive in a breezeway between residential homes.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the initial call, and the York County Coroner’s Office was requested to the scene around 9 a.m. to officially certify the death. Authorities confirmed that Collier was pronounced dead at the location where he was found.
An autopsy was completed on Saturday, and the coroner’s office reported that Collier died from multiple gunshot wounds and sharp force trauma. Officials formally ruled the death a homicide based on the autopsy findings and the condition in which Collier was discovered.
York City Police have launched a full investigation into the killing and stated that detectives are working to determine the sequence of events leading up to Collier’s death. Investigators said they are seeking 26‑year‑old Angelica Caraballo as a person of interest. Police emphasized that she is not considered a suspect, but her name surfaced during witness interviews conducted on Friday morning. Detectives are attempting to locate her for questioning to clarify details surrounding the incident.
